Butterfly Reflections, Ink Monday

Hello, Butterfly Reflection, Ink friends! What better way to start off the new week with a new BRI project!

I usually try to create a project using items from the same collection. But I am realizing how easy it can be to combine items from different companies! For this project I used GOLD from the different companies.

Here is the card I created using elements from Simple Stories (Story of Us) and My Mind's Eye (Jubilee):

When you are making a card that will go with a gift, it is easy to use the scraps to make a gift tag that matches. No need to throw away the scraps!

Check out the supplies I used available in the BRI store:
Simple Stories - Story of Us 6x6 paper pad
My Mind's Eye - Jubilee Beautiful Mixed Bag

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a wonderful week!

Little Tangles Sketch Challenge

Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope you are enjoying your week and finding some time to create something wonderful!
Today starts a new challenge over on the Little Tangles Challenge

Here is the sketch to inspire you!

Danielle Walls's photo.

I decided to break out my watercolor pencils and create this card below:

The watercolor background is created with a mixture of blues and greens watercolor pencils and blended together with a dash of water. The house from the Neat and Tangled's Sweet Home stamp set is stamped and then colored with watercolor pencils as well. The image is cut out and attached on top of the background on the card. A simple sentiment (also from Sweet Home) is added to the card.

'Hello' Fancy Pants...

Hello, Butterfly Reflection, Ink friends! Today is an awesome day! First of all, I have a fun project to share with you! But most of all...today is Release Day for the new Lawn Fawn products everyone is drooling over! And guess what? They are available NOW in the BRI store! Check out the amazing selection!

So on to my project...

Let me confess... I am falling in love with the premade embellishments for cards/layouts! I have been turning to them lately when I need to make a card in a flash! Have you seen those latest card challenges, 10 minutes or less? I would never had been able to complete this challenge if I had to create every piece by hand! But these premade pieces make it doable!

Here is the card I created with the premade embellishments matching the Fancy Pant's Burlap & Bouquets Collection:

To make the card stand out, I decided to create a shaped card versus a regular card. The front is covered with 2 different patterned paper. I love the simple 'HELLO' sentiment, but decided to add 'my friend' by stamping it below the embellishment. The feathers are a wonderful addition! I love how the large one hangs over the top of the card. The card needed a little more texture, so I added a couple enamel dots on the top corner of the card!

There are many things I love about Butterfly Reflections, Ink! One thing is that they carry a variety of products from a single paper collection. Making it so easy to shop in one location!

Check out the supplies I used available in the BRI store:

Fancy Pants - Burlap & Bouquets Paper Pad and Ephemera
Avery Elle -  Red & Goldie Clear Stamp Set
My Mind's Eye - Market Street Enamel Dots

Thanks for stopping by! See you the next time!

This is the first project I have made using premade pockets. I received this Pebbles' pockets from the Butterfly Reflections, Ink shop and feel in love with the colors! The Front Porch collection has a beautiful combination of blues and pinks. I decided to focus on the blues in the collection.

Happy 'SWEET' Friday

Today, I am excited to share I card I made using some awesome Sweet Stamp Shop stamps! It was also time to break out the watercolors...AGAIN! The pairing of Sweet Stamp Shop stamps and watercolor is a match made in heaven!

I love the ability to work with several stamp sets that flow so well together! For the project below, I used Sweet Stamp Shop's Koala and Just the Basics.

Simple watercolors were used to create the background.  The koalas are stamped in gray ink. I choose to use a little shade of gray to color in the images. The sentiment is stamped in the same ink. A tiny twine bow is added to create the female koala.

Thank you for stopping by today! Love the Koalas? Check out the rest of the adorable creatures available in the Sweet Stamp Shop store!

Create a Smile Stamp Guest Designer Entry

Between all the back-to-school prep work today, I found the time to play along with a digi stamp from a new stamp company, Create a Smile Stamps! If you have not heard of them, please check them out HERE to see their super cute stamps!

They are currently looking for their September Guest Designer. So I figure I would throw my name into the hat!  Here is the card I made using their fun monster digi stamp!

I wanted the monster to look like it was busting through the wall. To achieve the look, I punched a hole in the paper and started to pull the strips in the outward direction. The monster is attached with a pop dot to add the dimension to the card.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you will stop by and check out Create a Smile Stamps! They are adorable!

One of the things I love, is that both sets go together like peanut butter and jelly!  Here is my creation using some watercolor:

To allow the colors to 'POP', I stamped the images and then embossed them with either clear or white embossing powder.

Stop by the Butterfly Reflections, Ink to check out the selection of embossing powders and other tools!

I have added a few new companies to my favorite list! They are Avery Elle and Lawn Fawn! Butterfly Reflections, Ink has a nice selection of both! I was so excited when I received some new goodies and HAD to use them!

I love the look the Lawn Fawn die adds to a CAS card. Check out my card below:

I even used the speech bubble die to form the hill in the background.I decided to keep the card simply with a single girl colored with a variety of markers.

More than meets the eye!

Hello, Butterfly Reflections, Ink friends! Today I am showing how versatile crafting products can be! Vanessa sent me some fun Simple Stories SN@P product and I have to admit, I was stumped. I am mainly a card-maker. I have created a few scrapbook layouts, but have NO experience with mini albums or similar projects.

So I started off with staring at the Simple Stories's I Heart Summer Pages trying decide if I should tackle the albums or try something different. After a few days, I decided that the individual pages would make a great addition to a layout.

**Sorry about not including a picture. I am indecisive when it comes to making a scrapbook page. It normally takes me a handful of days to finish one from start to finish. I am a beginner when it comes to this craft. So needless to say, it will probably take me a few more days to pick what picture I want to use.

I used two of the summer pages on the layout. To make the die cutout cloud POP, I used a section of another page from the package. To finish the layout I used additional stickers and paper that matched the Simple Stories I Heart Summer Collection.

One awesome thing about Butterfly Reflections, Ink is that you have access to multiple pieces from the same collection.  (In the shop, you can shop by brand and sort by name. this places the same collection pieces to be displayed together.)

Thank you for stopping by today!

My Mind's Eye at Butterfly Reflections, Ink!

Today I am excited to share my latest card created for my Butterfly Reflections, Ink design team assignment! I think it is easy to state that My Mind's Eye is my favorite paper company! It seems like I am always drawn to their collections! So I was super excited to come across the My Mind's Eye section in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink's store! You can check out the section  HERE.

The collection I used on the card below is My Mind's Eye's Now & Then "Mildred":

Now, as I stated last week, I am addicted to 6x6 paper pads! (Don't forget to check out the PAPER section in the store! There is an amazing selection available!) Any who... One of the reasons I like the paper pads is because it usually includes a pattern that can be fussy-cut. Such as the print pictured below. I decided to cut out a few of the flowers to use on this card. Not knowing exactly what I was going to do, I cut out a number of different flowers/leaves.

I tried several different floral arrangements and once I decided on the final placement, I used a foam dot on one of the flowers to add dimension to the card.

I usually an one to stamp a sentiment onto the card. However, I love the word/alpha stickers that were made for this collection. Instead of simply putting the sentiment sticker on the card, I decided to add a punch of additional color by placing a matching cardstock sticker from the same collection.

I would love to hear what your favorite My Mind's Eye collection is? I don't think I could narrow it down to one! And have you seen the newest released collections they have just released? Super pretty! And guess what? They are currently on their way to the Butterfly Reflections, Ink store! Keep on eye out on the 'Newest Product' section of the store!

Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Supplies used from the Butterfly Reflections, Ink store:
My Mind's Eye - Mildred 6x6 paper pad, Mildred Tiny Words/Alpha Stickers, and Mildred Flat Stickers

Other supplies:
Fine point scissors
Corner punch
Foam dot adhesive

Hello, Butterfly!

Happy Tuesday everyone! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts! I cannot wait to share my latest Butterfly Reflections, Ink project with you!

One of the things I love about Butterfly Reflections, Ink, is their selection of 6x6 paper pads! I am truly addicted and there is always something I am craving in the store!

I am a fan of pretty much all the American Crafts companies (American Crafts, Pebbles, Studio Calico, Crate Papers, etc). I LOVE the fact that you can combine pieces from collections by the different companies. In the project below, the paper is Crate Paper and the woven ribbon and butterfly die are from Studio Calico! And look...they match PERFECTLY!!!

I love using wooden veneers on my projects! There are so many things you can do with them! I decided to color the front to match the papers. Once the markers dried, I stamped a simple sentiment with brown ink.

You can easily add texture to the simplest of cards bu using a variety of materials. The mixture of the ribbon, twine and wood add so much to this card!

Here is a quick look of the supplies used for this card:

Supplies from Butterfly Reflections, Ink:
**Kaisercraft stamps are currently sold out at the Butterfly Reflections, Ink store. However, there is a wide variety of stamps, including clear stamps are available! Check out the STAMP section of the store HERE

Also, using:
American Crafts - Brown twine ribbon
Spectrum Noir - Markers
Memento Ink - Rich Cocoa

Exciting News!!!

Hello, Butterfly Reflections, Ink friends! This is Jessi Pascarella from Kissin' Krafts! I am so excited to be a part of this fun design team and look forward to meet new friends along the way! Let me give you a quick bio about me and then on to showing you my first BRI project!

I live in Texas with my lovely husband of 10 years and am a stay at home mom of 3 kiddos. Two boys, 8 & 6, and one daughter, 4. I have been paper-crafting for over a decade now. Mostly cards, but love to try altered projects and a few layouts. My style tends to be CAS, but I do try to challenge myself with different styles and techniques.

For my first project, I decided to create a fun card to say 'HELLO' to my new BRI friends. The ideas started to flow once I got this Lawn Fawn 6x6 paper pad in my hands.

I started off with creating the scene from this fun Avery Elle stamps, stamped onto watercolor paper. Now I have to admit, this was my first time painting a scene...and I think I am ADDICTED! I used a watercolor brush (detailer), such as this one in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink store. This brush made it super easy to paint in the scene and change colors with out changing brushes!

This Echo Park Photo Card Die was used with some fun Lawn Fawn papers to spotlight the watercolor scene. A simple sentiment is stamped at the bottom of the die. A metal 'HELLO' trinkets is added to complete the sentiment. The final step was to piece the card together.

Supplies from Butterfly Reflections, Ink:
Lawn Fawn - Hello Sunshine 6x6 paper pad
Avery Elle - Red & Goldie
Echo Park - Designer Dies Photo Card, Heart & Create
Maya Road - Vintage Metal Trinkets Hellos

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you will stop by Butterfly Reflections, Ink and check out the variety of craft products they offer!

Trendy Twine Magnetic Bookmark

Gallery Idol Round 2 voting is still open until 1:00PM CST today! Please stop by and cast your vote! To make it easier, I included the widget for voting on the right sidebar ------------------------------------>

Happy Thursday, Trendy Twine friends! I have fun project today! Who loves to read? And who is always looking for a bookmark? (I don't fold the corners, because most come from the library.) So when I saw the idea of a magnetic bookmark, I had to give it a try!

Using a fancy shaped Spellbinder, I cut out the shape twice. I glued the top of the two together, leaving the bottom of the diecuts alone.

I glued too much of the top together. I attached the twine bow at the top of the bookmark. My goal was to have only the word 'relax' showing when the book is covered.

To finish the bookmark, I attached a magnet on the inside of each diecut.

Trendy Twine is spotlighting all their SOLID twines this month, so there is still time to get the solids at the sale price. Check out the Trendy Twine store to see the color selections!
(Psst... I used Totally Grape on this project!)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
