Today I made a CAS card using their Dragonfly and and Classic Birthday:

Photobucket

I love the look of a simple white card! I have been seeing the half embossed card and could not wait to give it a try! Using the embossing folder, I added the design to the bottom of the card. I used the same color of ink for both the dragonfly and sentiment stamps. Using a fancy shaped diecut, I used it create the frame for the sentiment. Added a few rhinestones to the dragonfly and sentiment.

Honey Bear Love with gel-a-tins!

***See post for Prickley Pear CHA Blog Hop below***

Hello, gel-a-tins friends! Thank you for stopping by today! It is Jessi P. here and I am excited to share you a card using the Honey Bear Stamp Set.

I don't waste time skipping from Christmas to Valentine's projects! So I decided that the cute bear from the Honey Bear set would make a great card.

Here it is:

Photobucket

I stamped the bear in brown and used a variety of markers to color in the bear. (One New Year's Resolution for myself...learn to color with markers!!!) Next was to cut out the bear. I also cut a slit between the bear's arm and leg to slip in the twine as I put the card together.

Using a heart shape punch, I created the balloons by stamping the sentiment and using ink to color the hearts. Twine is attached to make the balloon strings from the heart to the bear;s hand.

The last step was to piece the card together. Using a patterned paper for the background.

As soon as I saw this cute bunny, I just knew that I wanted to use it on an Easter project! I covered the paper mache basket with patterned papers and moved on to created the scalloped embellishment.

Using a circle diecut, I created a circle and stamped the bunny image. Using a variety of markers, the bunny was colored in. The tail was covered using puffy paint. The circle is attached to a scalloped diecut. Twine is wrapped around the basket and the scalloped embellishment is attached.

Trendy Barrette using Trendy Twine Spotlight Color

Hello, Trendy Twiners! It's Jessi here from Kissin' Krafts! I am excited to share this fun project with you today!

As you probably know, Watermelon Taffy Twine is the spotlight twine of the month! It is an awesome color combo that (to me) shouts 'girly'. So with that in mind, I wanted to create a project for a little girl.

I created this barrette with some Watermelon Taffy Twine, a punch, ribbon and buttons.

Photobucket

I was hoping to get a picture of it in use, but my 3 year old daughter was not agreeing with the idea! So Strawberry Shortcake to the rescue :)
Photobucket

To create the barrette, I started of with a flower punch from cardstock. I covered the punch with glue and wrapped the twine around each petal. The buttons were added to the center of the flower. The ribbon is glued around the metal clip and the last step is to attach the flower to the clip. Easy Peasy!

Visible Image Coffee Break

Hello, Visible Image fans! Have you check out the newest stamps? If not, hop on over to the store and take a look!

Today I am sharing a CAS card I made using the Visible Image's Coffee Break Stamp set.

Photobucket

The first step was to stamp the coffee beans image repeatly across the bottom of the card. Next, I stamped the coffee mug images on three separate patterned papers and cut the images out. I also stamped the image over the coffee beans to mark where the cups were going to be placed. I attached foam dots to the patterned cups and placed them on the card. The last step was to make the sentiment banner and place it onto the card.

Ringing in the New Year with Visible Image!

Can you believe that it is 2013?!? Hope everyone had a great and SAFE night!

Today starts a new challenge over at Visible Image! 'Time to Reflect' is the theme for this month. Check out the Visible Image blog to see the creations from the design team!

Here is my card using the "Happy New Year" greeting from the Christmas and New Year Stamp:

I decided to create the clock by paper-piecing with papers from the Echo Park's This and That collection. The numbers are Lily Bee Design Alpha and Numbers stickers.

The sentiment comes from the Visible Image's Christmas and New Year stamp. To get just the bottom of the image, I placed scotch tape over the image I did not want to ink. Apply the ink. Remove tape and stamp the image.

Are you planning to create any New Year's projects to reflect on the last year or plan for the future? If so, we would love to see your creation! Join the Visible Image Monthly Challenge and have a chance to win some amazing stamps.

It's New Year's Eve, Baby!

Boy, where did 2012 go? It has been an exciting one, but I am ready to see what 2013 brings!

Today I am delighted to show you my last Prickley Pear card for 2012! Check out the Prickley Pear Design Team creations on the Prickley blog!

Yes, I am wishing to see snow! However, the likelihood of that happening is very low! But I can dream right?

I decided to create a 'snowglobe' with a wintery scene inside. Using the Winter Scalloped Oval 3 Clear Set,  I stamped the lamppost and bird images onto a jar-shaped die cut. I added snow to the scene with puffy paint. The last step was to assemble the snowglobe and piece together the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I have had a blast with Prickley Pear this year and look forward to see the new stamps for 2013!

Be safe everyone and Happy New Year!

gel-a-tins Warm Thank You

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! What do you on the day after? Shop? Clean? Create? I don't know about you, but I try to get my Thank You cards done quickly!

It's Jessi here and today I am sharing a warm Thank You card using a couple stamps from a couple of different gel-a-tins sets.

I choose to paper-piece the house from the Gingerbread House Stamp set. Once the house was complete, I used puffy paint to add the snow to the house. The final touch was to add the wreath and gold gem accents (from the gelly gem rolls).

The sentiment (from the Honey Bear Stamp Set) was stamped onto the banner. The first part of the sentiment was done using a variety of letter stickers. The banner was attached to the card using foam dots.

Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you have a grand day!

Merry Christmas Trendy Twiners! Hope you all have a safe and blessed day!

Today the Trendy Twine Design Team is sharing holiday cards for you today! Stop by the Trendy Twine Blog to see their wonderful creations!

Here is my card for you:

I decided to use Candy Cane and Holly Twines to create the circle candies. I punched out circles and used them to form the candies. I cut out a jar using a die cut and attached the candies. The final touch was to use the Berry Twine to wrap around the lid of the jar and attach the jar to the card. I added a simple sentiment, stamped in two colors and rounded the corners.

And viola!

Simply elegant Prickley Christmas!

Can you believe that Christmas is tomorrow? I cannot wait to start the festive traditions later today!

Todayis Design Team reveal day over on the Prickley Pear blog. I am sharing a CAS Christmas card using Prickley Pear yummies:

The first step is to cut out the scallop oval using the Scalloped Oval Die. Next, I choose the pinecone stamps from the Winter Scalloped Oval Clear Stamps Set 3. And added the "Merry Christmas" sentiment (from Christmas Tree Clear Stamp Set 2) in the middle of the oval. I wanted the oval to look like an ornament, so I tied the ribbon to make it look like it was hanging off the card. The final touch was to attach the oval to the card using a foam dot.

Merry Christmas Prickley Pear fans! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Christmas is in the 'Visible' Future

One week until Christmas! Are you ready? I am putting the final touches on my holiday cards and sticking them in the mail soon!

Today I am sharing a cute CAS holiday card using Visible Image's Vintage Season's Greetings sentiment stamp.

Here is the card:

I have been seeing wonderful cards that other artists are making using a snowflake punch to make wreaths/garlands. I had to give it a try!

I wanted the wreath to look like it was hanging on a door, so I used a woodgrain embossing folder to create the feeling.  The next step was to punch out several snowflakes and create the wreath.  The final touch on the wreath was to add the twine bow.  The last step was to add the Visible Image sentiment onto the banner! What a simple and beautiful card it turned out to be!

Dreaming of a Snowy, Prickley Christmas!

Happy Monday, everyone! Christmas is NEXT week! Hooray! I cannot wait! But, for now I would love to share my latest Prickley Pear creation.

Today I used the Three Marching Snowmen Stamp (plus a few more) on my card:

Along with the snowmen, I used the Swirls and Snowflakes for the background of the card. The trees were stamped with Christmas Trees 2 Clear Stamp set and cut using the Christmas Tree Die. I decided to cut out the snowmen and color in some of the image (learning how to color will be one of my resolutions for the next year)!
