Welcome to another "PERFECT" challenge!

Who is up for another Perfect Sentiment challenge?  This week's sponsor is Shelly's Images.  The winner from this week get to pick one digital image of their choice.  Please check out the wonderful images they have created!
This week's challenge is always a tough one for me--- Create a card with a sentiment of "sympathy". The twist is to use this picture as inspiration:

Jan2012insp
This is the card the eventually was created:

Supplies:
Bazzill Bitter Chocolate Cardstock
October Afternoon - Farmhouse Collection
Spellbinders - Labels Die Cuts
Inspired by Stamping - Doily Stamp
Studio G - Prayer Stamp
Paper Studio - Lace Ribbon
Paper Studio - Round Corner Punch
Paper Studio - Brown Ink

I always have a difficult time making sympathy cards. You work so hard to make it perfect, but there is always something I have doubts about. Well, I, unfortunately, need to a couple of sympathy cards this week. So, not only did I have a deadline to meet, I had a purpose for the card as well.  I know that there is nothing special or extravagant about this card, it is a basic/simple card. But I felt this was appropriate for the situation.  I also needed to make one for a teenage boy, who lost his mother. This started a new challenge, since I tend to add flowers and other "girly" stuff to sympathy cards. So here is another card I made:
Supplies:
Recollection - Cream Cardstock
Amy Butler Papers
Spellbinders - Labels Die Cuts
Michael's Pewter Ribbon
Inspired by Stamping - Doily Stamps
Studio G - Prayer Stamp

  1. Jessica- I love your take on the challenge- your card is lovely! I really like how you used the doily stamp just on the tag's edges. That lace ribbon is wonderful too. And what a great job you did on the other card. I am so sorry you *needed* to make these cards; especially for a teenage boy losing his mom. But this card is perfect and I am sure will mean a lot to him and his family. (((Hugs)))!
