More 'Sweets' from Sweet Stamp Shop!

Hello, 'Sweet' fans! I am excited to be sharing more SWEET creations from the latest Sweet Stamp Shop release! The two new stamp sets are Drops Background and Cityscape:

Here are a couple projects using in the Sweet Stamp Shop's Cityscape:

I thought the Cityscape stamps would be perfect be highlight a trip to the Big Apple. So I paired the stamps up with scrapbook paper that was a map of New York City.

There are so many fun sentiments/phrases with the Cityscape stamp set! 'Start Spreading the News' can be used to announce a big move or achievement!

Along with the card above, I made a few more cards using the 'Drops Background' stamps:

I stamped the dots image from 'Drops Background' twice. The top one is inked with pinks, reds and oranges. The bottom image is turned and stamped with greens, blues and purples. I love  how the rainbow of colors turned out!

The hearts from the 'Drops Background' are adorable. The word cute came to mind and I  wanted to pair it with the Sweet Stamp Shop's 'Happy Bugs'.

Get, Inky's Newest Challenge - Flowers!

Today starts a new challenge over on the Get, Inky! Challenge blog! And you are going to love it!!!! The theme --- FLOWERS! Who doesn't love crafting with flowers? I imagine there will be a lot of fun entries!

Here is my Flower creation using Get, Inky! Stamps' Sew Sweet Cupcakes stamp set:

I used the cupcake ribbon stamp to form the stems and the heart to form the leaves. To create the flowers, I used the BACK of the two flower stamps. (Stamping in different colors to form the different layers of the flower. To highlight the flower, I stamped the smaller outline flower in the center.)  A simple sentiment is added at the bottom of the embossed backing.

We can wait to see your flower creations! Please join us on the Get, Inky! Challenge blog! You can see more Get, Inky! inspiration on the Get, Inky! Stamps Blog and the Get, Inky! Stamps Facebook page!

Happy weekend, gel-a-tins fans! Hope you have enjoyed our month long promotion with The Robin's Nest! I decided that it was appropriate to make a Thank You card to show our appreciation towards The Robin's Nest!

Today I am using a simple gel-a-tins sentiment from the Honey Bear stamp set:

This card is so simple to make! I cut the patterned paper to the size of a backing mat for an A2 card. The flowers are hand cut from a patterned paper. And layered for a 3D effect.

Sweet Stamp Shop April Release!

I am super excited to be a part of Sweet Stamp Shop's April release! The new sets are so AH-MAZING! There are 2 new sets and today I have 2 new projects for you!

First up is from the Cityscape stamp set:

When I saw this set for the first time, I knew that I wanted to use it for 'scrapbooking' purposes. I went to NYC for the first time last year and have so many pictures that I need to scrapbook. The problem is...I'm not really a scrapbooker, so I decided to make a frame. The buildings made a perfect embellishment for the frame. The sentiment described the frame perfectly!

I have been in a rainbow-mood lately and decided the Drops Background would be perfect to make another rainbow project:

Using a variety of colors, I created the background for this card using the stamp only twice. The first time I used a variety of reds and oranges. The second time I used greens, blues and purples. After the sentiment was added, I decided to attach some sequins across the card.

I hope you are enjoying the projects from today's release! Make sure to stop by Sweet Stamp Shop's blog to see more inspiration projects from some very talented ladies! While you are at it, stop by the Sweet Stamp Shop page on Facebook!

Let me leave you with a little tease...I will be back next week on the Sweet Stamp Shop's blog with more fun project ;)

Have a great day!

Here is my card based on the photo:

Once I saw the paper lanterns, I instantly knew I wanted to use colorful dots on my project. I have been seeing them around and was itching to give it a try! I love how it turned out!

I used Avery Elle's Oh, Baby Stamp set for the sentiment on the card.

Brightening your Reading with a Trendy Bookmark!

Hey, Trendy Twiners! Are you in the Spring mood, yet? It's Jessi from Kissin' Krafts here to brighten your day! This month's Trendy Twine spotlight twine, Lemon Tart (currently on sale for $7.95), is sure to do the trick! I love the brightness. It just screams SUNSHINE to me!

So of course, I used it to create the sun on today's project:

Who doesn't love to curl up to a book while soakin' up some rays? I created this bookmark by repeatedly stamping the sun rays in yellow and orange ink. Once the ink was dry, I glued pieces of the Lemon Tart twine to the corner of the bookmark to form the sun. A simple sentiment is stamped in black and the final touch is the twine tassel.

Have you joined in the Trendy Twine's monthly challenge? Check out the details HERE! We cannot wait to see your creations!

it's Another Prickley Monday!

Hello, Prickley Pear friends! I have finally tried the latest 'Chalkboard' technique. I am pleased with how it turned out and am looking forward to practicing some more!

Today I used the Prickley Pear's Dove on Heart Vine to created the chalkboard:

I first stamped the image onto black cardstock with white ink. Quickly I poured white embossing powder on top of the image and heated. Once the image cooled, I re-inked the stamp and stamped slightly off center on top of the embossed image. While the ink was still wet, I smudged the ink around the image.

I choose to pair the image with the Prickley Pear's One Smile sentiment.
