Happy Wednesday, ya'll! (Why did I just put ya'll??? Don't know, but it will stay!)

Being Wednesday, it is time for another challenge at Perfect Sentiment!  This week's challenge is to make a card based off the provided sketch, also including a sentiment of congratulations.

Here is the sketch for this week's inspiration:
Please check out Perfect Sentiment HERE for information about this week's sponspor!

Here is my take of the sketch (I decided to flip it):

I want to thank the wonderful ladies at the Perfect Sentiment for this fun opportunity!  I wish everyone good luck in what I know is a promising future for this great team.
Hope everyone has a great Wednesday and is able to find some time to create!  Thanks for stopping by!

Back with another Perfect Sentiment Challenge!

So it has been a few weeks of stress, madness, relaxation, and relief (kids are back in school)! It seems like it has been ages since I have been in the blogger world. Let's see if I remember how to do this?!?!

Since it is Wednesday, it means there is a new challenge at The Perfect Sentiment! This week's challenge is to make a card with the sentiment of "Thanks" using the technique of distressing.  (Any form of distressing is allowed.)

We have a great sponsor this week-- Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps

This week's randomly selected winner will receive a $10 Store Voucher use in their store! How great is that?

Here is my creation for the "Thanks" card using distressing:

There are a number of distressing techniques that can be used. I choose to ink the edges of the Spellbinders die cut to make the "aged" look to match the distressed looking paper.

Recollection Kraft Cardstock
Paper Studios Pattern Papers
Fiskars Butterfly Punch
Spellbinders Scalloped Ovals
Stampabilities Thanks Stamp
Hobby Lobby Ribbon
Paper Studios Brown Ink

At a recent trip to my local Hobby Lobby, I found that they have added some new papers to their paper aisle! What amazing designs they have to offer, the ideas started to flow!

Please stop by the other Perfect Sentiment Design Team Members for amazing inspiration!
So during part of my haitus from blogging, my husband had a business conference in NYC. Because I was in a major need of a vacation, I tagged along! This was my first trip to the Big Apple and it was AWESOME! I cannot wait to go again!  Here are a couple of pictures:
