Sneak Peak of Upcoming Pink & Main

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! Happy last day of April! Can you believe that it is almost May? Meaning that there will be a new release of Pink & Main stamps!

Today, I am giving you a sneak peak of a new Magical Unicorns stamp set.

This card sounds CAS! I love the unicorn images from the set, I really wanted them to POP on the card. I stamped and colored in the unicorn and cut the image out.  I used a new stitched die and stamped cloud and stars onto the diecut. The diecut is attached to a fun print. The unicorn image is attached using a pop dot. A simple sentiment is stamped to finish the card.

DCWV Garden Charm

Hello, DCWV friends! It is Jessi from the DCWV Social Media Design Team! Now that April is almost over, I realize that I forgot to share my DCWV card I made for this month's sketch challenge! I figure it is better late than never to post.

I used one of DCWV new stacks, Garden Charm, available at Joann stores.

I stuck to the sketch, so it was pretty simple to recreate. I hand cut a large purple flower from the stack to be the focal point of the card. I used a simple sentiment stamp to finish of the card.

I finished up my card for the May challenge. I am off to write that post for next week, so I can be ahead of schedule!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!

DCWV Vase

Hello, DCWV friends! It's Jessi from the Social Media Design Team. Can you believe that May is next week? EEKK...where did April go?!? They always say May brings flowers. With Mother's Day just a few short weeks away, I thought it would be fun to incorporate the two together.

A few weeks ago, I found a cute unfinished wooden vase at my local Michaels store. My first thought was to cover it with some pretty paper! So I decided to pair the vase up with prints from the DCWV Seaside Yacht Stack.

This is a very simple project to complete. Trace the vase on the back side of the paper and cut out. The paper is attached to the vase with Mod Podge. Once the vase was finished, I thought it looked a little plain, so I decided to add a tag.

The tag was included in the Seaside Yacht Stack. I added a simple stamp and a few rhinestones to the tag. The tag is attached to the vase using a string of navy twine.

For this picture, I used a fake flower. However, I think it would be wonderful to use it with fresh flowers. All you need is a thin cylinder vase and stick it inside the wooden vase. Add some water and a few fresh stem flowers.

Throughout this week's blog posts, the design team members will be sharing a few of their own stories and their mothers (or special women) in their lives.

I have some very creative women in my family. I truly believe that I have been blessed with their creative genes. My mother loves to make quilts, knits, and sews. I have tried to use a sewing machine for different purposes, but am lacking those skills. My paternal grandmother is a artist. She has completed some amazing paintings and has created a whole line of wooden Santas. My maternal grandmother is a quilter and a cardmaker. She has been creating handmade cards for several years and that is where my love for papercrafts started! I hope that I continue to pass the creativity genes on to my daughter. She is 6 and loves to make cards along side of me. She even has her own desk setup next to mine.

Thank you for stopping by today!

Rain Frogs

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! We definitely has seen our fair share of rain here in Texas. I believe that we received over 10 inches of rain this week. The sun finally made its appearance and the water is drying up.

Today, I am working with the new Rain Frogs stamp set.

I was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketch challenge for this week. When I saw this sketch and the partial circle, I immediately thought about a rainbow and I knew the perfect stamp set to work with.

The image from the Rain Frogs stamp set is stamped in black ink onto white cardstock. The image is colored in with a variety of markers. The image is then fussy-cut. I used some fun prints to make the background of the card. The rainbow is made from a few different cardstocks and a rainbow die. The sentiment is stamped onto a different print.

Poppin' by to say...

Hello, Pretty Cute Stamp fans! We have been experiencing some heavy rain and flooding here in Texas. Perfect weather to stay inside and work in the craft room!

Today I am working with the super adorable Snack Time stamp set.

I grabbed a few prints from a 6x6 paper pad and used a few to cover the front of an A2 card base. I used a circle die to cut a circle out of white cardstock. I used the popcorn images from the Snack Time stamp set and stamped them randomly onto the circle. I also stamped the bucket of popcorn and colored it in with markers. The image is cut out and attached to the card using a foam dot. A sentiment is stamped onto a strip of cardstock and attached to the card. To finish the sentiment, I used foam alpha stickers.

Sweet Hummingbird

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! It is a busy one here with yard work, baseball games and birthday parties!

With Spring here the birds are chirping away (sometimes annoyingly!) I don't get to see them often, but I love hummingbirds! They are some beautiful creatures!
So when I saw the new Hummingbird set, I was in love!!!,

To create this card, I measured an A2 card with black cardstock. I cut a panel of watercolor cardstock to place on the front of the card. I used a variety of blues and greens to create the sky background of the card. On a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped the feeder and hummingbird images and colored in with a variety of markers. I cut the images out and attached to the card. I poked a hole above the feeder and attached a string of black twine. The sentiment is stamped on the bottom corner of the card.

DCWV: Paint and Create Cards

Hello, DCWV friends! It's Jessi from the Social Media Team.
Today I am sharing my latest DCWV project!

Have you seen the new DCWV Paint and Create sets available at Joann stores?
If not, check out their online store HERE.

I am in love with the fun Paint and Create Card and Envelopes. The quality of the watercolor cardstock is awesome! So thick and sturdy! It holds up so well during the painting process!  Another wonderful thing about the Paint and Create is that it comes with its own paint! And most important...they are super easy to use! All ages welcome!

Each pack includes 3 different designs (2 cards each design).

The first card I used the paints that are included in the set. The colors are so soft and beautiful!

For the second card, I used my ZIG watercolor markers to color in the image. I decided to use some bolder colors for this card!

I love how different the cards look just by changing the color palette! What colors would you choose for this design?

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you stop by Joann store to check out some of DCWV newest product!

A Sweet Hello

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I am hoping to get some stamping done between today and tomorrow!

With Spring weather outside, I used the new Pink & Main's Doodled Flowers stamp set is perfect to create a Spring card!

To create this card, I measured an A2 card. I also cut down a piece of cardstock that matches the measurements of the front of the card base. I cut an strip larger than one inch of the piece of cardstock. I then took the cardstock and cut the piece into two pieces. I placed the last two pieces on top of the card base to create the open space between the two strips (marking the opening with a light pencil mark). I stamped the floral images from the Doodled Flowers stamp set and colored in using markers. I attached the two strips of cardstock to the card base, show casing the floral images. A simple sentiment (from the Hummingbirds stamp set) is stamped onto a diecut pendant.

I used an stitched die to create the rectangle. On the rectangle, I stamped the scene using a flower, grass, and butterfly images from the Spring Flowers stamp set. I colored in the scene using Chameleon markers. The rectangle is attached to the middle of a card base. The simple sentiment is stamped at the bottom of the card.

Happy Saturday, Pink & Main friends! It is a beautiful Spring day here in Texas. The flowers are blooming and the bright colors are everywhere! What are your favorite flowers? Mine are hibiscus, the coral red ones are the best!
