Joyful Wishes

Who is ready for a HUGE Black Friday Sale?

All stamps will be 50%---YES---50% off! What a deal!
Make sure you stop by the Joy Clair Shop to find the deals!!!

I wanted to create a simple card to highlight this fun sentiment. I love the font and wanted it to pop on the card. I used a lamp pole die with red cardstock. And added a gold bow. I used the sparkle/snowflake in the Joyful Wishes set and stamped it in white against the cream color cardstock. It is hard to see in the first photo, so I added a close-up below.

Thank you for stopping by today! Please stop by the Joy Clair blog to see the rest of the DT Joyful Wishes creations!

Trendy Twine Magnetic Bookmark

Gallery Idol Round 2 voting is still open until 1:00PM CST today! Please stop by and cast your vote! To make it easier, I included the widget for voting on the right sidebar ------------------------------------>

Happy Thursday, Trendy Twine friends! I have fun project today! Who loves to read? And who is always looking for a bookmark? (I don't fold the corners, because most come from the library.) So when I saw the idea of a magnetic bookmark, I had to give it a try!

Using a fancy shaped Spellbinder, I cut out the shape twice. I glued the top of the two together, leaving the bottom of the diecuts alone.

I glued too much of the top together. I attached the twine bow at the top of the bookmark. My goal was to have only the word 'relax' showing when the book is covered.

To finish the bookmark, I attached a magnet on the inside of each diecut.

Trendy Twine is spotlighting all their SOLID twines this month, so there is still time to get the solids at the sale price. Check out the Trendy Twine store to see the color selections!
(Psst... I used Totally Grape on this project!)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Hello, everyone! Thank you for stopping by today!  Over at Trendy Twine, the design is sharing their beach creations using Krazy for Kraft Twine. Please stop by to see some amazing projects that are sure inspire you!

Here is my creation:

I have been seeing the sun-bursts all over pinterest and knew that I wanted to use that in this creation! Also, I used washi tape to create the ocean "waves". To create the effect, I folded over the top of each row.

I love this definition stamp! I decided to stamp the words around the edge to create border around the beach scene.

Supplies:

Recollection Kraft Cardstock
Trendy Twine- Krazy for Kraft
Jillibean Soup Papers - Homemade 6 Bean Soup & Southern Chicken Dumpling
Trendy Tape - Blue Stripe
Dear Lizzy AC Stamp

Spring is in the air!

Who else loves this time of year? Spring, how I love thee...and miss thee! Spring lasts all but what seems like a day here in Texas. Temps already near 90 degrees and the humidity that makes it not pleasant to be outside! I usually have a few days that I can open all the windows and air-out the house, but not this year!  But if that is the worst thing I can complain about, then life is good and I will now shut my mouth!

I came across one of Jillibean Soup's new collections--Southern Chicken Dumpling Soup--and had to buy it!  I love the softness of the colors, PERFECT for Spring!

Here is the card I made (well, one of the cards) using this cute collection:

Supplies:
Recollection Kraft Cardstock
Jillibean Soup - Southern Chicken Dumpling Soup
EK Success Border Punch - Notebook
Fiskars Large Tag Punch
Studio G Stamp
Paper Studio Ink
Pop-dots

I showed my husband this card and he asked if it was a Mother's Day card. It never crossed my mind that the saying would be great for that occassion! Is it not amazing what another pair of eyes will see...let alone a male's ;)

Hope everyone has a great day and finds some time to craft!

I (finally) got my hands on doilies!

Have you ever had a product that you REALLY wanted, but could not get your hands on it?

So I have been in search for some cute doily stamps, for what seems like months!  It started when I saw the My Mind's Eye stamp set from the Stella Rose collection. But after searching and searching and finally found a set in Sweden and disappointed in the final cost, I decided to move on!  In my search, I was so excited when I saw some new stamps from Inspired by Stamping... I knew I was in love. They arrived and I finally had some time to sit down and create!  I used this week's sketch challenge from Mojo Monday to help with more creation.

 Supplies:
Bazzill Cardstock
Doily Stamps by Inspired by Stamping
Spellbinders - Circles, Lacey Circles, and Label 8
Jillibean Paper
Lace Ribbon by Paper Studio
Satin Ribbon by Michael's
Recollection Stamp
Brown Ink
Recollection Brads

I have been creatively stumped lately. I believe that these stamps have sparked something...I am off to create some more! Have a great day!

Look Who is two...

I am a fan of Jillibean Soup!  I love the colors they tend to use and I absolutely love that they go GREAT with kraft cardstock (my fav to use for cards)!  I used my fav technique (paper piecing) to complete the owl. Here is a pic of a card I made for my adorable niece, Moxie!
Along the variety of Jillibean papers, I used AC Thickers for the number and Cosmo Cricket small alphas for the lettering. I found a template for the owl online...once I find it again, I will link it up!

Pile It On : Fav Technique
Deep Ocean Challenge : Cards
Catch the Bug : Clean and Simple
Mark's Finest Papers : Die-cut as a Background
