Sweet Stamp Shop - Use What You Have Challenge #8

Happy SWEET Wednesday friends!!! Are you ready for another
Sweet Stamp Shop's Use What You Have Challenge??!!

It is SUPER easy to join! Use something from your crafting STASH and link it up to the Sweet Stamp Shop's blog! For details, click HERE!

Onto my SWEET card! First, stop? What I am using from my stash?

I grabbed these canvas embellishments awhile ago with NO clue what I was going to use them for. So in the drawer they went! But now it is time to bring them into the light!

Using the Sweet Stamp Shop's Dream Ocean, I decided to stamp the starfish image and color the canvas. Crossing fingers that this works...

The large starfish is stamped in the center of the circle. The image is again stamped and cut-out of cardstock to use for masking purposes. Once the image is covered on the canvas, it is time to stamp the smaller starfish  twice.

I was unsure how coloring with colored pencils would work, but I was pleasantly please with the turnout. I used a variety of reds, oranges, and yellows to get the final look. The smaller starfish are colored in with browns.

It is very simple to piece together this card. The back layer is kraft cardstock, layered with brown patterned paper on top. The blue/teal paper is cut into strips and punched with a scalloped edge to make it look like waves. Three strips are attached together and the bottom strip is larger enough for the stamped quote. The final touch is to attach the canvas embellishment.

I  hope that you are inspired to go through your stash and create something for the Sweet Stamp Shop's Use What You Have Challenge! We cannot wait to see your creation!

Don't forget: project can be a card, layout, altered item, etc! Although we would LOVE to see Sweet Stamp Shop's stamps, it is NOT a requirement!

Stop by the Sweet Stamp Shop blog for more details and to link up your project!

Sweet crafting!
