Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! I had a wonderful Spring Break and ready to get back to work! Being Monday, I have a new Prickley Pear creation to share with you. Sadly, not a festive green one to mark today's holiday!

Using Prickley Pear's Thank You Would be Suffice JJ0067 stamp:

I love the size of this sentiment. Perfect to be the focus of the card. I paired it up with fun spring colors! I love how this card turned out!

Happy Prickley Pear Monday!

Can you believe that March is already here? Spring is just around the corner! My favorite time of the year. So I decided to bring out the floral with today's Prickley Pear creation!

The PPRS stamp is suppose to be shamrocks, but I decided to color them pink, making the image perfect for several spring projects!

I definetly tested my coloring skills with the Bailey (HH0156). This image would look perfect in endless of color combinations! I have been wanting to use this paper for a while and thought this image would be perfect! I added a simple sentiment from the Spring Crosses 2 Clear Stamp set (CLR032A).

Mirroring Stamps with Prickley Pear

Hello, Prickley Pear friends. It's Jessi here from Kissin' Krafts. Today I am sharing with you a very neat technique called 'mirroring'!

Have you ever had an image that your wished faced the opposite direction? I tend to favor the bottom right corners of my cards, so it looks awkward with the image is facing the right of the card. So I went on a search to try a variety of 'mirroring' technique and am sharing the best one I came across.

First you will need the following:
  • clear block
  • foam sheet
  • cling wrap
  • tape
  • fine black tip pen/marker

Cut out 2 foam sheet squares/rectangles to match the size of the clear block. Adhere the two pieces together. Stack the foam piece to the block. Now it is time to wrap the block with the cling wrap. Place a piece of cling wrap (big enough to wrap around the entire block) on a flat surface. Place the block (foam side down) and pull the cling wrap tight. Tape the ends together on the block side.

Stamp the image onto foam side. Make sure the cling wrap is wrinkle free. Stamp onto the cardstock.

When you transfer the image to the cardstock, some of the lines might be faint. Using the fine tip marker, trace the lines of the image. Once the tracing was finished, I colored the image with a variety of markers.

The last step is to piece the card together.

For this card, I used the Honeybunny (GG0191) stamp from Prickley Pear's newest release.  Make sure to stop by the Prickley Pear website and check out all the stamps part of the Spring Release!

Prickley Pear Spring Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Prickley Pear Spring Release Blog Hop! I hope you are enjoying the fun creations the design team has shared using the Prickley Pear Spring Release stamps! You should be arriving from Brenda's blog!

If you did not hop with us yesterday, there is still time. Check out the details on the Prickley Pear blog!

Here is my first creation using the Spring Crosses Clear Stamps 2 from the newest release:

I was in need of a bookmark for the missal I use each week at church. Once I saw the new Spring Crosses  clear stamps, I knew what I wanted to do. Using the Flourished Oval Nesting Die (D-043), I cut out 2 diecuts from a notebook style paper. In the middle of one of the ovals, I used the Cross Die(D-032) to cut out the cross shape. The next stamp is to stamp and color the cross image from Spring Crosses Clear Stamps 2 . The final touch was to add the gold ribbon.

Thank you for stopping by! The next stop is to the talented Jenn!

But before you leave, be sure to leave a comment! Each comment you leave along the hop, increases your chance to win one of two amazing prizes!

Prickley Hibiscus CAS Style

Hello, peeps! I hope everyone is enjoying this fine day! I know some of you are experiencing some cold, nasty weather, so hopefully this card will brighten your day :)

Today I am sharing my latest card from Prickley Pear! I am sticking to my normal style, CAS, with this card:

A simple border embossing is added to the white cardstock layer before attaching it to the card backing. A simple sentiment is stamped on the bottom right corner.

To add alittle "POP" to the card, I used the Hibiscus Die and colored in the stamp with bright fun colors. The die is attached to the card using a foam dot.

Have you heard about the Prickley Pear Blog Hop going on next week? It starts on the 25th. There will be 3 full days of a variety of projects showcasing Prickley Pear's Spring Release! I hope you will stop by and check it out!

Have a great day!

PPRS Monday Brrrrrrrrr

Who would like a hot cup of chocolate? I know that most of the US is experiencing a strong cold blast. It is cold here in Texas, but missing the snow. So why not create a card to fill the snow void? One of my favorite Prickley Pear stamp is the Swirls and Snowflakes. It is the highlight of this card, along with some other Prickley Pear goodies!

Here is my wintry creation:

The snowflake and swirls stamp is used in a variety of blues and gray. The sentiment die is colored in with makers. A simple ribbon is added across the card.

Please stop by the Prickley Pear store to see the amazing selection of rubber stamps and clear stamps available!

Have a great day!

PPRS Holiday Monday

Yes, it is finally December! Bring the decorations out and crank up the Christmas music!

Welcome to Prickley Pear Monday! I have a simple holiday card to share with you today!

Using the Prickley Pear's Flourished Ovals 3 Holidays stamp set:

I wanted the card to look like a door, so I added the woodgrain embossing to the back layer. The stamp looks like a wreath, so I pieced it together.

I hop you will stop by the Prickley Pear blog to see some more amazing projects from their talented DT.

Prickley Pear Chalkboard Tutorial

Hello, Prickley Pear fans! It's Jessi from Kissin' Krafts

I have a quick question for you.

Do you love the Chalkboard trend as much as I do? And I am really loving pairing up the technique with my Christmas projects! I know that there are a few different ways to complete the chalkboard look. Today I am showing you my favorite way.

So here is the result:

I like to use chalkboard vinyl, instead of cardstock, to create the chalkboard part of the card. I stamp the image onto the vinyl using white ink. The ink will take a while to dry. So this is the part where you set it aside and move on with your day.

The longer you let the image dry, the 'brighter' white the chalkboard finish will be. On this project, I let the image dry around twelve hours. I used a cotton ball to smear the image.

Go over the image as many time needed to reach the coloring you are looking for.

Once you reach the look, it is time to cut the image out and attach to your project.

Thank you for stopping by! Stop by the Prickley Pear Store to see the wide variety of images available for your next project!

Have a great day!
