Visible Image Bookmark

Hello, everyone! So I had to go out-of-town for a few days and was able to pick up a book for the first time in a LONG time! As I took my first reading break, I realized that I didn't have a bookmark and had to bend the page (one of my pet-peeves)!

So Visible Image to the rescue! Who likes to curl up and ready a book while sipping a cup of hot coffee or for me hot chocolate!

Here is the bookmark I created using Visible Image's Tea for 2 stamp set:

The tag is created using a Spellbinder die cut. The background is created using Visible Image's Gingham background stamp. The cup is paper-pieced using patterned papers for Lily Bee Designs.
The sentiment is made using alpha letter stickers. A tassel is made out of a colorful twine.

There is still time to enter the Visible Image's Monthly Challenge. The theme is LOVE. Check out the details HERE.

I am sad to announce that this is my last post for Visible Image. They have been a great company to design for and I wish them the best in what I know will be a successful future!

It's my Visible Image Day!

Can you believe that it is Tuesday? (Feels like Monday, with the federal holiday yesterday!) Since it is Tuesday, that means I have another Visible Image creation to share with you today! Today I am sharing a card/invite that I made using the Movie Set from Visible Image.

Some may know that Sunday are the Oscars. A time to celebrate movies! As a film major in college, I always watched the award show. (However, times have changed! Having kiddos means less time watching movies!) But, any who...

Here is my card using the Movie Set stamp set:

**When I had this card in mind, I bought glitter gold letters to use from 'Oscars'. However, I think I left them in the plastic bag and threw them away. So I went with the white glitter letters.

I love the Movie Set stamp set! My favorite are the different size film strips! I am waiting for the perfect picture to make a scrapbook layout using the larger one.

This card is very simple to make.  The film strip is stamped on to the card. Using different letter stickers, I created the sentiment for the card.

To add alittle something extra to the card, I decided to emboss the clapperboard image with black embossing powder.

Can you smell the LOVE in the air? Valentine's Day is around the corner!

Today starts a new challenge on the Visible Image blog. It is all about LOVE!

Here is my CAS card using the Visible Image Valentine's Day Set:

I love the color combo of red, kraft and white. I think the red just pops off the page!

I started off stamping a few of the hearts and cutting them out. The back white layer was dry embossed and attached to the kraft layer. I created a banner to stamp the sentiment on and adhered to the card. The hearts are attached with foam dots to add dimension to the card.

Visible Image Friendly Patchwork

Happy Tuesday all! It is my day for Visible Image and I am excited to show you my latest creation!

Today I used the sentiment for the The Sewing Room Stamp Set:

 photo 159_zps1cf2b5ea.jpg

As soon as I saw the word 'patchwork' in the saying, I knew that I wanted to create a quilt-like card. I did not want to do a normal square-patch, so I decided to bring out the hexagon diecut and started to cut out the colorful pieces.

Once the pieces were glued together, I attached the quilt to the back layer. The last stop was to attach the sentiment with the button and twine add-on.

Thank you for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the wide selection of stamps available over at Visible Image.

Visible Image Tuesday!

*** Check out the Prickley Pear CHA Blog Day 2 post below***

It's Tuesday, which means that it is my day to reveal my latest project for Visible Image! If you are unfamilar with Visible Image, take a moment to stop and check out their assortment of stamps!

Today I made a CAS card using their Dragonfly and and Classic Birthday:

Photobucket

I love the look of a simple white card! I have been seeing the half embossed card and could not wait to give it a try! Using the embossing folder, I added the design to the bottom of the card. I used the same color of ink for both the dragonfly and sentiment stamps. Using a fancy shaped diecut, I used it create the frame for the sentiment. Added a few rhinestones to the dragonfly and sentiment.

Visible Image Coffee Break

Hello, Visible Image fans! Have you check out the newest stamps? If not, hop on over to the store and take a look!

Today I am sharing a CAS card I made using the Visible Image's Coffee Break Stamp set.

Photobucket

The first step was to stamp the coffee beans image repeatly across the bottom of the card. Next, I stamped the coffee mug images on three separate patterned papers and cut the images out. I also stamped the image over the coffee beans to mark where the cups were going to be placed. I attached foam dots to the patterned cups and placed them on the card. The last step was to make the sentiment banner and place it onto the card.

Ringing in the New Year with Visible Image!

Can you believe that it is 2013?!? Hope everyone had a great and SAFE night!

Today starts a new challenge over at Visible Image! 'Time to Reflect' is the theme for this month. Check out the Visible Image blog to see the creations from the design team!

Here is my card using the "Happy New Year" greeting from the Christmas and New Year Stamp:

I decided to create the clock by paper-piecing with papers from the Echo Park's This and That collection. The numbers are Lily Bee Design Alpha and Numbers stickers.

The sentiment comes from the Visible Image's Christmas and New Year stamp. To get just the bottom of the image, I placed scotch tape over the image I did not want to ink. Apply the ink. Remove tape and stamp the image.

Are you planning to create any New Year's projects to reflect on the last year or plan for the future? If so, we would love to see your creation! Join the Visible Image Monthly Challenge and have a chance to win some amazing stamps.

Happy New Year!

Christmas is in the 'Visible' Future

One week until Christmas! Are you ready? I am putting the final touches on my holiday cards and sticking them in the mail soon!

Today I am sharing a cute CAS holiday card using Visible Image's Vintage Season's Greetings sentiment stamp.

Here is the card:

I have been seeing wonderful cards that other artists are making using a snowflake punch to make wreaths/garlands. I had to give it a try!

I wanted the wreath to look like it was hanging on a door, so I used a woodgrain embossing folder to create the feeling.  The next step was to punch out several snowflakes and create the wreath.  The final touch on the wreath was to add the twine bow.  The last step was to add the Visible Image sentiment onto the banner! What a simple and beautiful card it turned out to be!

Visible Image "Photo" Ornament

Can you believe that Christmas is only 2 weeks away??? Eeek! Are you ready?  We just got and decorated our tree yesterday!

Today, I am sharing a project I made for the tree. Using Visible Image's The Sewing Room stamp set:

So when I sat down to complete this project, I started off with the idea of making a card. But as I stamped the buttons and cut them out, the plans started to change. I formed the wreath with the cut-out green buttons. The red buttons are added using foam dots to add dimension.  A hole was punched at the top and the ribbon was tied. Now I just need to find the perfect picture to add.

(I tried to think of a way to add the year, but was not happy with any of the results.)

Trying Something New with Visible Image

It’s Tuesday and that means it is my day at Visible Image! Today I have decided to step away from my comfort zone and try something new. I am always inspired by the talented “color-ers” out there.  I am amazed by the wonderful projects I see with people using markers. So I have decided that I would give it a try!

Now, I needed to use a simple image for the coloring. I mean, I am in the beginner level, but boy do I have some learning to do!

The first step I took was to stamp the images in black ink. Once the ink was dried, I started to color.  The rings I need with no shading. However, I attempted to shade on the rose.  (I will have to watch a few videos to get this down.)
So is this my best work? No. But I do enjoy the fact that I decided to challenge myself!
So if you were going to try a new technique, what would it be?
Check out the amazing hand-crafted clear stamps from Visible Image. Are you creating anything with a Christmas theme? If so, check out the Visible Image Monthly Challenge!

Visible Image December Challenge - Christmas

The countdown to Christmas has begun! Can you believe that it is December? And what does that mean? It is the start of a new Visible Image Monthly Challenge, that's what!!!

Please stop by the Visible Image blog for more details about this month's challenge - CHRISTMAS!

So earlier this week I showcased a dough ornament that I made. While I was working on that batch, I decided to try to make on for Visible Image. So I grabbed their, Sketched Rings, and created this ornament that would be perfect for newly married couples celebrating their first Christmas together.

Did you notice the year? Yep,my mind didn't grasp the idea that the backwards 5 and 2 are not the same thing! So I was surprised when I stamped the date and figured that out!!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you decide to share your Christmas creations with us over on the Visible Image blog!

Christmas Time at Visible Image

Hello, Visible Image fans! Are you in the Christmas spirit, yet?  I have another holiday card to share with you today.

I felt like I need to switch it up some and brought out my embossing powders to work with.

The Visible Image stamps I used on today's project are 'Tree Trio' and 'Vintage Season's Greetings'.

Here is my shaped card:

First, I decided it was time to do a shaped-card. So using Spellbinders, I cut out two shapes and adhered to make the card. Another Spellbinder was used to cut the circle.  The circle was run through the Cuttlebug and embossed with large dots. To highlight the dots, I lightly tapped a white ink pad across the top. The 'Tree Trio' stamp was inked and embossed in white. I decided to use glitter embossing powder for the sentiment. The red really pops off the page.

Have you stopped by Visible Image store to see the amazing designs! Endless possibilities!

We would love to see your creations! Join our Facebook Group to share or to see others projects for inspiration.
