Happy Thanksgiving

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! Can you believe that it is October already? Before we know it, it will be Thanksgiving! Do you have the Thanksgiving dinner at your house or do you go visit somewhere else? I usually go to my in-laws, but I always bring along a few side dishes.

Today I am working with the Hero Arts Thanksgiving Table and ZIG Clean Color Markers:

This stamp set includes several little images. I decided to use them to create a background print. I used the MISTI to help with the placement of the stamps. To fill in some of the empty space, I stamped green leaves. I used a variety of ZIGs to color in the images. The sentiment is stamped on a strip of cardstock and attached to the card.

Sending Birthday Wishes

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! It is football season! I am not sure about where you live, but on the weekends here, the skies are full of planes with advertisement banners.

So with that in mind, here is my card using the Waffle Flower's Across the Miles and ZIG Clean Color markers:

The airplane and banner are stamped in black ink. Once the ink dried, I used ZIG Clean Color markers to color in the scene. I added blue sky around the images. To add some design to the top of the panel,  I stamped a hot air balloon and added some die cuts of clouds.  The panel is cut out using a fancy rectangle die and attached to kraft cardstock.

The following ZIGs were used on today's card:
010, 022, 030, 047

Hey, Sugar!

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! As Halloween/Fall décor is starting to fill the stores, I have noticed a growing trend with Sugar Skulls. The Day of the Dead décor is seen everywhere! And I don't know about you, but I love the bright, bold colors the décor includes. So when I saw the Sugar Skulls stamp set from Hero Arts, I knew that I needed to get my hands on it!!

So today, I am sharing my first card (I have so many ideas for this set, that I know there will be more!), using the Hero Arts Sugar Skulls stamp set and ZIG Clean Color markers:

The first step I took making this card, was stamping the skulls down the edge of watercolor cardstock. I used the masking technique while stamping the skulls. I used a dark gray ZIG around edges of the skulls and spread the color using water. I really enjoyed how this made the white of the cardstock pop where the skulls were stamped.

Now it was time to color in the faces. The stamp set includes a few different layered stamps with designs. I used the layered stamps on the faces and colored in using bright and bold ZIG colors. (I did not use water on these colors.) I wanted to add a few splashes of paint on the card, so I placed a strip of paper to cover the skulls and splattered a few spots around the card. To finish the card, the sentiment is stamped in black ink.

The following ZIGs were used on today's card:
010, 022, 027, 031, 041, 052, 070, 080, 095

Eat, Drink, and Be Scary

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! Halloween is next month. Are your kids getting excited? I have one that has his costume all planned out and two that will wait to the last minute!

Have you heard of Elizabeth Craft Designs stamp company? They are one of the newest brands now available in the MarkerPOP store.

Today, I am using their Halloween stamp set on my card:

I stamped a few of the designs onto watercolor cardstock and colored in using ZIG Clean Color markers. Once the images were dry, I used the coordinating dies to cut out the image. The next step is to create an A2 card out of watercolor cardstock. On the front of the card, I stamped the gravestone image. I used the ZIGs again to color in the image. I extended the grass on both sides of the image. The sentiment is stamped below the grass. I wanted to include a moon and some stars. The moon is colored in by hand. The stars are from a cluster stamp from the My Favorite Things Somebunny I Love stamp set. The die cut images are attached using foam tape.

I used the following ZIG Clean Color markers on today's project:
022, 024, 070, 052, 046, 047, 035, 094, 010, 095

Fur-Friends Forever

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! Are you a pet person? If so, what is your favorite kind? I am a dog person. We currently have one dog, Olive. She is an adorable Mastiff mix. Definitely, another child I have to take care of!

Today, I am working with the Pink & Main's Fur-Friends stamp set and Chameleon markers:

To start this card, I repeatedly stamped the bone image down the side of the card. The dog image is stamped and cut out using a circle die. The image is colored in and attached to the card. To add some extra color to the card, I added three hearts to the card. The final step for the card was to stamp the sentiment .

The following Chameleon markers were used on today's card:
BR4, BR5, RD2, RD4, YO2, YL3, NU0, NU1, NU3, PR2

Autumn Blessings

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! Are you ready for Fall? I know that I am. Besides the cooler temperatures, one of my favorite things about Fall is the changing colors of the trees. Sadly, where I live, we do not get to see the drastic change. But I am hoping when I visit the DC area next month that I will be lucky enough to witness a few yellow and orange in the trees!

With Fall on the mind, I brought out the super adorable Hero Art's Coloring Layers Autumn Trees stamp set to makes today's card:

Did you know that Hero Art has mini layering ink collections? They make it super simple to coordinate the colors according to a certain theme. Today, I am pairing up the Autumn collection with the Autumn Tree stamp set.

To start this card, I stamped the trunk of the tree with the brown ink. After that I continued with the different layers of leaves using red, orange and rust ink. The sentiment for the card is stamped below the tree. A stitched rectangle die is used to cut out the panel that will be attached to the front of the card. What a simple card to recreate!

Go Wild

Hello MarkerPOP friends! School is in session! What does that mean? Time for the parents to go WILD...right?

Today, I am showcasing the Neat & Tangled's Wild Ones and ZIG Clean Color markers:

To start the card, I stamped the giraffe image onto watercolor cardstock with black ink. Once the ink is dried, the image is colored in using ZIG Clean Color markers. The image is then cut out and set aside. I used prints from the Doodlebug At the Zoo 6x6 paper pad to create the layers onto the card. The sentiment is stamped onto a print and attached to the card.  The giraffe is attached to complete the card.

The following ZIG Clean Color markers were used on today's card:

028, 052, 062, 065, 070

Sending Birthday Wishes

Hello, MarkerPOP friends!!! We are coming up on the end of summer. I am ready to start seeing some fall flowers popping up in our local gardens. This Texas summer heat has done a number on the flowers!!! What is your favorite fall flower? Mine probably would be sunflowers.

Today, I am showcasing the WPlus9 Design's Modern Peonies stamp set and ZIG Clean Color markers:

The floral image is stamped and embossed with clear embossing powder. I used only a few ZIG colors to color in the image. In fact, only one shade of each color was used. Find out below the exact colors used. To highlight the flower, I used a very light watercolor blue background.

Once the watercolor was completely dry, I used a fancy scalloped frame die to cut out the panel. The panel is attached to kraft cardstock. To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment using brown ink onto the card. The final touch was to add three clear droplets to the card.

The following ZIG Clean Color Markers were used on today's card:
024, 026, 036, 041, 052

No Line It's Your Birthday

Happy Friday, MarkerPOP friends! Who is ready for the weekend? I know that I am! It is the last weekend before the kiddos go back to school! And this mama is ready to get back to a regular schedule!!!

Today, I am sharing a birthday card I created using the No-Line Coloring technique:

To start this card, I stamped the large birthday sentiment from the Waffle Flower's Eat Cake stamp set. The stamp is done with a light colored ink onto watercolor cardstock.  I really wanted the sentiment to pop, so I used a variety of neon Zig Clean Color markers to color in the image. I completed the image with the rainbow effect.

This is simply technique to do. All you need to do is take you time and follow the lines!!!

The following ZIG Clean Colors were used on today's card:
001, 002, 003, 004

Happy Trails

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! The summer is coming to an end! School has either begun or about to begin. Why not try to fit in one last vacation or getaway? My family keeps hinting that they want to go camping. Now only if I had a camper to make that night stay easier!!!

Today I am showcasing the SugarPea Designs RV There Yet stamp set and Chameleons:

For this card, I used a variety of prints from the paper pad to paper-piece the camper. There were a few different pieces that were colored in with a few Chameleon markers. After adding a couple of the different word stamps from the set, there was some white space in one corner. I decided to cut out one of the teepee and fire and attach to the card.

The following Chameleon markers were used on today's card:

YL2, OR4, RD2

Sending Birthday Wishes

Hello, MarkerPOP. What is on your bucket list? I have been thinking about mine lately and keep adding to it! One thing is to take a hot air balloon ride. Have you ever been on one? I would love to...I think...not a fan of heights!

With hot air balloons on the mind, I figure I needed to create a card using the Waffle Flower's Across the Miles and Chameleon markers:

To begin this card, I stamped the balloon image onto white cardstock and colored in with a variety of Chameleon markers. The image is cut out and set aside. I wanted to add blue to the background of the card. I recently received the NUVO Embellishment Mousse and wanted to find a way to use it. I applied the cream to the card and blended it around using a baby wipe.

Once the background dried, I stamped the cloud images in grey ink. The hot air balloon is attached using foam tape. The sentiment banner is stamped at the bottom of the card with grey ink. The sentiment is stamped in black ink.

The following Chameleon markers were used on today's card:
BG4, PR4, PK3, YO3, OR4, BR2, BR4

Let's Have Adventure

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! Do you like adventures? I would like to say that I do. But I have found that as I get older, my adventurous level is decreasing! We are taking the kids to their first waterpark in a few weeks. This will be my second time ever to one. I am sort of freaking out!

Today's card features the Sugar Peas Design's Lantern die and RV There Yet:

The lantern die cut is made using black cardstock. I also ran the die with white cardstock to get the center piece. The center piece is colored in using Distress Crayons. I blended them with a baby wipe. Once the cardstock is dry, I stamped the phrase onto the white cardstock. The lantern is attached to a starry print.

I used the following Distress Crayons: Spiced Pumpkin and Mustard Seed.

I love this lantern! Makes me want to go on a camping adventure...maybe when the temperatures cool down!

Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Hello Gorgeous

Hello, friends! Can you believe that July is almost over?!? School starts back up in less than one month. What have you been doing to fill up your days? We finally took the family to the beach today. First time this year and then we realized we never went last year. So hopefully, we can sneak in one more trip before school starts!

Today I am working with the Waffle Flower's Pretty Foliage and Chameleon markers:

So I was a little late to the MISTI fan train. I have it for some time now and just recently found out how awesome the system is! I love how you can stamp the image in the same spot repeatedly for crisper lines. Once the ink was dry, it is time to color in with Chameleon markers. I tried to use colors from the fun print below.

Once the images were colored in, the sentiment is add in the top left corner. The sentiment is colored in using orange and yellow. The panel is then attached to the printed paper and then attached to the card base.

The following Chameleon markers were used on today's card:
RD2, RD4, YG3, GR3, GR4, OL3, YL2, YO2, OR3, OR4, PK3

Thank you for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Aloha Pineapples!

Hello, MarkerPOP friends! Pineapples are really popular right now! They are everywhere! Stamps...Papers...even Home Décor! I love them!!! So when I saw the super cute Lawn Fawn's Aloha stamp set, I had to have it!!!

I decided to pair up the stamp set with Chameleon markers and used the no-line technique:

The pineapple image is randomly stamped across a blank card. I used a light colored ink, so it 'disappears' once the image is colored in. The stem of the pineapples were colored in first. The Chameleon markers YG3 and GR3 were used. The body of the pineapple were colored in with the YL2 and YO3 markers.

To fill the empty space on the card, I stamped the 'aloha' word across the card. To finish the card, I used a brown fine tip pen and added the spikes to the pineapples.
