Girl Time with Pink & Main Stamps

I love my crafting time. And one of the best things is when my daughter wants to craft with me. At least most of the time :)  Usually , when I sit down to create a card, my helper is right there to play along. Pink and Main Stamps make this super simple! Their images are large and makes it easy for little ones to color them.

Today's card uses the kid-friendly Buggy stamp set.

These cute bugs were screaming to make a scene card. I started off coloring a few bug images. Next, it is time to create the scene, so I picked out some grass, sky and sun papers. To add texture to the card, I cut slits into the grass and as well as the bottom layer of the sun (hard to tell in this picture).

To finish of the card, I added a sentiment from Buggy Words stamp set and attached the bugs to the card. To add some more details to the card, I folded the wings of the bee up to look like it is flying on the card.

During my card making process, I stamped a few images onto cardstock for my daughter to color. Once she was done, she stated that she wanted to make a card exactly like mine.

DCWV Scrapbooking Made Simple Part 2

Have you seen the new DCWV Ready Made Scrapbook pages now available at Jo-Ann Stores? They make scrapbooking super simple and easy to complete!

Today, I will be sharing 2 more pages that I completed.

I added simple add-ons to the layout. I took a piece of DCWV Foil paper and create pendant die cuts. I then ran them through an embossing folder to add dimension to the pendants. I used the pendants to create the title of the scrapbook page.

I attempted to stamp on the fancy die at the top of the page. I messed it up, so I needed to find a way to cover the mistake.  I decided to use a die and create a cork embellishment from DCWV Cork Stack. On top of the cork, I added a DCWV Mirror Hearts embellishment. A simple title is used to finish the page.

Have a great weekend!

Planner Stamps - Pink & Main Stamps!

At the start of 2015, I was determined to get a planner going. In fact, I ended up buying 3 different ones. The plan is to try a variety of planners to figure out with one worked the best for me. It is still a work in progress. So when Pink & Main's released the latest planner stamps, my motivation increased!

With the release of In the Budget and Planning Work, I thought it would be best to use them on a monthly planner. So it was time to gather up supplies!

First up, I started with the monthly bills. I pay bills twice a month. So I stamped (using the new In the Budget set) the bills on the actual due dates, using one color for all the bills. Just to make sure I didn't forget to pay them.

Next, it was time to include my DT assignments for the month. I stamped any assignments that we scheduled for a specific day. For example, my Pink and Main posting day is on Saturdays.

I used page flags for posts/events that I knew were coming up, but didn't have a specific date assigned yet. Stamping this info to the flag, allows me to move the tag around without having to cross out and re-stamping over and over. (I really need a clean looking planner, not a marked up one.)

I really enjoyed the Planning Work stamp set. I love the social network icons. I struggle with updating my social networking sites at times. These icons allow me to set up certain days for certain sites.

I am hoping this planner will help me stay organize! Time will tell!

Let's catch up!

Hello, Pink & Main friends! Spring is in the air! Flowers are blooming and bugs are a buzzing! Speaking of bugs...have you seen the new Pink & Main Stamps release? If not, please check out the new stamps, HERE! There are some super cute bugs and punny sentiments!

Also, included in the release is the 'Let's Catch Up' mini set which is free with a purchase of $30 or more.

I used simple colored pencils for this image. To a fun spring detail to the card, I paper-pieced a sun and layered on top of the image.

Thank you for stopping by today! Keeping popping by to see more design team members take on the new release!

DCWV Scrapbooking Made Simple

Hello, everyone! It is Jessi from the DCWV Social Media Design Team! The last few days, the team has been showcasing the new DCWV Ready Made Scrapbook pages now available at Joann Fabric Stores! These pages are perfect for beginner scrapbookers (like myself)!

Today, I will be showing you a few pages that I created.

First up is the Snowflakes page:

First I filled the empty spots with photos and simple journaling. The final touch was to create a simple title for the page.

Next up is the USA page:

I didn't want to take away from the pretty photo borders. I simply added the photos and used alphas to create the title.

The last page for today is the Day to Celebrate page:

Once again, I started with the photos and journaling for the page. I wanted to change the title of the page. I used a matching DCWV stack - Chalk Art Stack to cross out the word 'DAY' and changed it to summer.

I had so much fun creating these layouts! Spent one day creating with these and walk out of the craft room with 5 layouts completed (will share the other soon)!

Thank you for stopping by today! Make sure to check out Joann's website to see the entire Ready Made Collection! The designs are awesome!

Paper Crafter's Library Feature!

Eeekkk! I am being featured on the Paper Crafter's Library blog today on their Designer Spotlight! If you are new to the Paper Crafter's Library, you have to check them out! Their site is full of useful information, ranging from companies to techniques and beyond!

Here is the card I made being featured on Paper Crafter's Library:

Today's card uses a variety of pieces from the Teresa Collins Nine & Co. 6x6 paper pad. I used one of the quote in the pad as the sentiment of the card! I love to cut out images from the larger prints in a paper pad. They make for simple and beautiful embellishments for the card.

Thank you, Paper Crafter's Library for the support!

Little Tangles - Sequins

Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope you are enjoying your week and finding some time to create something wonderful!

Today starts a new challenge over on the Little Tangles challenge.
And it is all about SEQUINS!!!

Here is my card using the Neat & Tangled Crafting is My Jam stamp set:

This CAS card was super easy to make. I knew I wanted to use a jar die because of the word 'jam' in the sentiment. I filled the jar with sequins. And tied it off with some Trendy Twine.  The patterned paper was made to look like it had a few crafting messes on it. (Ink smudges and paint drops.)
