Love You Soy Much

Happy Saturday, friends! I am breaking out the Pink & Main Stamps, markers and watercolors for today's project!

It is my goal to improve my coloring skills in 2015. Pink & Main images are super easy to coloring!

Here is my card to today's post:

The Pink & Main Stamp set used is the Pandamonium set. The bowl image is stamped, colored, and cut out. The pandas are stamped and cut out as well. On a piece of watercolor paper, the blue background is created using watercolors. Once the paint is dry, the pandas are added. Next, the bowl image is added using a foam dot to add dimension to the card. The simple heart and sentiment are added as final touches. It is time to piece all the layers (backing, cork, and picture) together.

Sweet Thanks Card

Hello, friends! Hope you are staying warm! I know I am enjoying the colder weather, but I also know that I am in the minority on that! But the cooler weather allows me more time to get crafty!

Who is ready for a simple card to create? I love DCWV products because they making crafting super easy!

Here is the card I created for today's post:

DCWV provides a variety of Box of Cards bases! This card uses one of the square cards for the Brights card collection. The patterned papers actually come from one of the Insta Photo Fun Accessories collections. The collections include 2x2, 2x4, and 4x4 pre cut papers that make is easy to create an album. But I decided to use some on this card. The precut pieces are added to a white card layer. The sentiment is cut out of two shades of pink to create the shadow effect and attached in the middle of the card.

How simple was that to create!

Hope you stop by the DCWV blog to see the latest creations for their design team. Also, stop by their Facebook page to hear the latest news!

Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful (and warm) day!

Happy Birthday Movie Star!

It's Jessi from Kissin' Krafts sharing my latest Pink & Main project. Today's card uses focuses on the new Movie Star stamp set. When I first saw this stamp set, the ideas started to flow! I have a sketch pad that includes a few more cards I need to crank out!

The large image from the Movie Star stamp set is perfect for coloring! And perfect for improving your coloring skills!  Once the image is colored, I cut it out and set aside.  Next the background image is created by repeat stamping the film stamp across the back mat . The colored image is attached using a foam dot. The sentiment is stamped on the a white stripe of cardstock. To fill in the white space, stars from the You Rocket stamp set are stamped in red ink. The sentiment is also attached with foam dots.

My first post with Pink and Main Stamps

I am excited to be sharing my first post for Pink and Main Stamps! Their stamps are simply adorable and I am having so much fun getting inky with them! My first card is using one of the new Pink and Main stamp sets from the Mega Release. To see all the stamps, check it out HERE!

For this card, I am using the You Rocket stamp set! One thing I love about the Pink and Main images is being able to paper-piece! Just look at the card below!

To create the paper-piece image, the image is stamped multiple times on a variety of papers. After a lot of fussy-cutting, I pieced the image together. Doing this step is the most time consuming part of this card. Once that is done, enamel dots are added for the lights of the spaceship.

The star printed paper makes the perfect backing! The moon image from the You Rocket stamp set is stamped with gray ink and cut out using a circle punch. The sentiment also came from the same Pink and Main stamp set. The original sentiment would not fit on the banner, so I used tape to cover part of the sentiment and stamped in two lines. The final touches to the card were the stamped stars on the banner and adding the paper-pieced image to the card using foam dots.

Thank you for stopping by today!

DCWV Layered Birthday Card

Hello, DCWV friends! It is Jessi here. Today I am sharing a fun card using one of DCWV Premium Paper Collection! This collections come with 5 different cardstocks and textures that go perfectly together to create any project.

Here is the card I created:

To start the project, I decided which papers I was going to start of with.

Now it is time to create the card base (made from a greyish brown cardstock from the DCWV Naturals Stack) and the layers to go on the front of the card.

The vision of the card includes the sentiment off to the right and will add embellishments to the left. So to begin, attach a strip of the yellow cardstock towards the bottom of the card. Stamp the sentiment.

For the flowers, I fussy-cut a few of the flowers from the patterned paper. To add dimension to the card, I used a foam dot on the larger flower.

At first I thought the card would be finished, however, it felt like it was missing something. So out came some fun DCWV Gem Stickers.

The gems were added to the top right corner of the card for the finishing touch!

Little Tangles Challenge - Watercolors

Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope you are enjoying your week and finding some time to create something wonderful!

Today starts a new challenge over on the Little Tangles challenge. And it is all about watercolors!

Here is my card using the Neat & Tangled Kindness Matters stamp set:

I am always inspired with the watercolor cards I have been seeing in the blog world. However, I find it very hard to create such beauties! After several attempts, I finally brought out some stencils to see if it will help me along the way!

I traced the circles with watercolor pencils. Once all the circles were done, I used water to spread the color some. Once the paint was dry, the sentiment was stamped and the card was finished!

Watercoloring with Lawn Fawn

Hello, Butterfly Reflections friends! It is my day on the Butterfly Reflections blog today!

Today is using stamps from one of my favorite stamping company, Lawn Fawn! I love the selection Butterfly Reflections carries! From the new and the old! Check out the Lawn Fawn selection to see what is in the store now!

Here is my card using Lawn Fawn's Wish You Were Here stamp set:

The bottom sentiment came from Lawn Fawn's Milk and Cookies stamp set. I love how simple it is to create the sentiment on a curve with clear stamps! I believe it adds so much to overall look of the card!

I attempted to watercolor the map to resemble the landscape of the US. I love how watercoloring can be somewhat forgiving!

February DCWV Stack-o-holic Challenge

Can you believe that it is February already? DCWV is starting the new month with a new sketch challenge! Check out the DCWV blog for more details on the February Stack-o-holic Challenge.

Here is the card sketch used to spark your creativity:

And here is my card:

I found this pretty foil doily and wanted to use gold as the main color.  I used paper from the DCWV Sparkling Holiday paper stack. I pretty much stuck to the sketch and finished the card with adding one DCWV Mirrored Heart Embellishment.

Hope you are feeling some inspiration to play along! However, if you need more inspiration to spark your creativity, hope on over to the DCWV blog to see what some talented designers created!

Operation Organizing Craft Room Pt. 2

I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel! It has been a project, but I am loving the end result! Along with organizing all my craft supplies, I need to also find a way to organize my list of future projects and deadlines. I have bought a few planners and notebooks which I hope will do the trick!

I bought a simple composition notebook and wanted to dress it up a bit! So I brought out one of the DCWV Premium 5 Piece Paper Collection available at Joann Fabrics. And let the creativity begin!

The first step is to create the bind of the notebook. I measured the width I was looking for. First you attach the paper to the front of the cover  and wrap around to the back side.

Next it is time to create the rest of the cover. I measured and cut 2 equal size papers to cover the front and the back. Once the paper is attached, trim off the excess around the rounded corners.

I believe that this cover is beautiful, but needs a little more detail! I attached ribbon where the two papers attach, in hope to hide the paper seam. (As you can see in the picture below, the front of the May Arts ribbon is a satin teal color. However, the back side is a kraft, papery feel. I chose to use the kraft side).

The cover still needed something, so I added a cute metal embellishment to the corner. The embellishment is attached to a piece of dark brown burlap paper that is include in the DCWV Premium Paper Collection.

Once I added a stamped title to the embellishment, the notebook was finished! I am in love with the outcome and look forward to creating more! They would make cute teacher gifts! Is it too soon to think about Teacher Appreciation Week??

Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Operation Organize Craft Room Pt. 1

My project for the last week or so has been organizing my craft area. Currently my craft area consists of the closet in the guest room and the corner of the living room. My goal is to condense the goods to one location. It has turned into a larger project than planned.  However, progress is being made!

As I am going through the organizing process, I am trying to find different things that might help out.

A few months ago, I believe I had a die that was thrown away with a pile of scraps. During one of the trips to Pinterest land, I found this idea about keeping the dies you are working with safe and in a clear space.

I found this fun frame in a clearance bin and was ready to give it a try. Time to gather the supplies!

It is time to make this magnetic frame:

This is super simple (and cheap) to create! The metal sheet comes for the shingle materials at your local hardware store. One 8x8 square is under a dollar. Make the measurements needed to fit the frame. And cut. Also, cut out a piece of patterned paper the same size. Layer the print on top of the metal and put into the frame.  Throw a few neo-magnets and you are finished. (The neo-magnets will hold your dies as you are working. Pull them off when you are ready to use them.)

Now how simple was that!  I have a few more organizing projects in the works! Looking forward to sharing with you soon!

Have a wonderful day!

It's Your Time to Soar

Hello, Butterfly Reflections friends! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts and I am glad to be back to share with you a fun and fresh card. Reflection

Who else is ready to put winter behind them? I am ready to start crafting with fun and fresh prints!

Today's card, I am using a few supplies I bought from the Butterfly Reflections store lately!

I knew I wanted to use this fun sentiment from Avery Elle's Look Up stamp set.  My first thought was to use cloud print paper and maybe add a kite. As I was searching for the right paper, I came across the paper airplane print from AC Day Dreamer 6x6 paper pad.  The rest of the prints came from the same paper pad. (Who doesn't love paper pads? They make it so easy to coordinate papers!!!)

Once I attached the papers, I added a small white wooden clothespin to the card. However, it needed something else. I started messing with adding string to the project, but simply could not decide how to make it work. So after several attempts, I decided rely on my go-to add-on, enamel dots.

Thank you for stopping by today! Check out Butterfly Reflections for the latest product! Their selection is full of amazing possibilities!

First Little Tangles Challenge of 2015 - HELLO

Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope you are enjoying your week and finding some time to create something wonderful!

Welcome to the first Little Tangles challenge of 2015! And doesn't it seem fitting as we say 'HELLO' to a new year, that are challenge should be 'HELLO'?

Before I show my card for this challenge...

To give you more time to participate in the Little Tangles challenge, there will be one challenge per month. Instead of the two we did monthly last year.

Here is my card using the Neat & Tangled My Heart Sings stamp set:

This shape card is created using a large fancy shape die. I wanted to say HELLO to the new year, sticking with my normal style, CAS. To keep up the CAS feel, I used a fun print at the bottom of the card. A word die is used to start the sentiment. The rest of the sentiment comes from the Neat & Tangled My Heart Sings set. I felt the card was a little too CAS (is that even possible?), so a stamped some tiny hearts from the same set. To accent the hearts, I covered them with glossy accents.

L-O-V-E Trendy Twine

Hello, Trendy Twine friends! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts. Today, I am sharing a treat packaging idea perfect for a quick gift-giving idea!

This month's spotlight color is the yummy Valentine Cherry Cupcake twine!

When I think of Valentine's Day, I always think of the delicious conversation hearts. So I used those candies as my inspiration today!

I used two different heart die cuts to form these conversation hearts.  Once the two different colors are glued together, alpha stamps are used with red ink (just like those conversation hearts. To highlight one of the hearts, I used Trendy Twine's Valentine's Cherry Cupcake to outline one heart.

Looking for other ideas about treat packaging? Look in the store for these candy chutes and other packaging items!

We would love to see you join our Twine It Up Facebook group and show off your creations!

You Can Never Have Enough Texture!

Hello, DCWV friends! It is Jessi here from Kissin' Krafts! I know that most of the country is preparing for a huge arctic blast, so don't shoot me, when I say I want snow! However, living near the Gulf Coast in Texas, the likelihood is low. But a girl can dream right?

In the spirit of snow, I create this fun card using a variety of DCWV products!

One thing I love to do is to add a variety of textures to cards.  To start off with, I created the back layer with a kraft cardstock and embossed cardstock combo. The main focus of the card is a printed pocket style design. To highlight the scene, it is matted onto bright red burlap paper.

To cover the seam where the two cardstocks connect, I used snowflake punches to the card. The finishing touch to the card is to add the mirrored heart embellishment that matches the heart in the snowman print.

Isn't fun how different materials and different textures to your project? Check out the shoot below to see the card laying flat.

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Warm BRI Hugs and Kisses

Hello, Butterfly Reflections friends! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts and I am excited to share with you a fun and simple card!

When I saw this fun scene paper in the AC Jack Frost 6X6 pad, I wanted to create a scene with this adorable penguin from Winnie & Walter.

The scenery paper is used for the back layer of the card. The snowdrifts are created with white cardstock and snowdrift dies (similar to these in the BRI shop). The image is stamped/colored/amd cut out. A sentiment is stamped to follow the flow of the snowdrift. To finish the card, I attached a few punched out snowflakes.

Let it Snow with DCWV

Hello, everyone! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts! I am excited to be sharing my first DCWV blog post with you today! Let be give you a piece of information about myself. I LOVE to make cards and I LOVE to have layers on them! Today's card is no different!

Using some fun papers from the DCWV Candy Cane Lane stack:

I love the pocket-style designs available in the DCWV stacks. They make it super easy to create a card for any occasion. After I decided on with design to use, I cut out the back layer in a matching print. Now it is time to create the mat for the pocket design. Using DCWV Chalkboard paper, I cut the mat and stamped white snowflakes along the border. Once the snowflakes were dry (Fyi-it takes a long time for the ink to dry on chalkboard paper. So you might want to run a hairdryer over it for a few seconds.) Now it is time to piece the card together! (It is hard to see with the black layer, but the top layer is attached with foam dots to add dimension to the card).

Thank you for stopping by today! Be sure to stop by the DCWV Facebook for more DCWV inspiration!

Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas to all!
I hope you are having a wonderful and peaceful day!

The Trendy Twine design team is getting together today to share some fun and festive cards to you!
I wanted to share a simple card with you!

I love the bold combination of red, black and white. I think it is a fun, non-traditional holiday color combo. So I created this card below.

However, it is not Christmas without a touch of green. I added the fun Trendy Twine Cherry Limeade at the top of the card. To add more green, a couple of green (and red) sequins are scattered on the card.  So simple and so pretty!
