DCWV and Tombow Blog Hop

Hi and Welcome to the Gold and Cork Blog Hop with Tombow USA and DCWV! We have 2 days full with gorgeous projects using GOLD and CORK! You probably came here from DCWV Blog, but if you happened to stumble across my blog go to the Tombow USA Blog (on Friday) DCWV Blog (On Saturday) to start!

To start off with this card, I used two different papers from the DCWV The Gilded Stack to create the front of the card. I used Tombow Xtreme Adhesive to attach the mat to the card base. The sentiment starts with a word diecut made out of the DCWV Adhesive Cork Stack.  To finish the sentiment, I used foil gold stickers on a banner diecut. The banner is attached with Tombow Foam Tape. I felt the card needed something extra, so I added the wooden arrow veneer to the card. Before I attached the arrow, I inked the wood with gold ink. The arrows are attached with Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue.

To win, visit and comment on the participating blog posts. You have until March 31st at 11:59 EST to comment. A winner will be picked randomly and announced on April 1st 2015.

Pink & Main Happy Easter

Can you believe that Easter is next week? Where does the time go? Perfect timing for the adorable Pink & Main's Chocolate Bunny stamp set! For today's card, I attempted the popular no-line coloring technique.

The first step is to stamp the image in a light color ink. I used watercolor pencils to fill in the spaces. The background is a blend of watercolors as well.  Besides the time it took to color the image, this is a very simple card to create.

Showers of Love

Happy Spring, everyone! I am excited to be on the Pink & Main Stamp's blog today!

It is Springtime! Who else is excited about that? Except here along the Texas Gulf Coast, it is our rainy season! (As I am typing this, it is raining outside!) So what better day to share this fun Pink & Main card, using the fun Puddles Girl stamp set.

The background includes a few different prints cut on a slate. The stamped image is colored with markers and a touch of paper-piecing. The image is attached with foam dots to add dimension to the card. A simple sentiment is stamped on a die cut pendant and attached to the card.

Hello, Friend!

Hello, Butterfly Reflections friends! I am excited to be in the Butterfly Reflection, Ink blog today!

One of the colors I gave myself for 2015 was to improve my coloring skills. It is a work in progress and I am having a blast with it!

Have you noticed that there are several cute elephant stamps out there!  I bought the Avery Elle Ellie stamp set from the Butterfly Reflections.

This elephant is simply adorable! Because I am learning (and make lots of mistakes) I stamp the scene on a blank cardstock. Then I stamp the images I will be coloring onto a separate sheet. That way if I make a mistake it is not on the actual card. After I few attempts, I was finally happy with the coloring. I cut out the elephant and attached to the card. I did the same step with the balloons. The grass and flowers are stamped and colored. A simple sentiment is used to finish the card.

**This Avery Elle set is currently out of stock, but check out the Avery Elle section in the Butterfly Reflection, Ink store to see more amazing images!

Thank you for stopping by today! Check out Butterfly Reflections for the latest product! Their selection is full of amazing possibilities!

i Heart You

Do you love to make cards, but have a hard time finding the time to get crafty? I believe that is why I love CAS so much! Trying to find time in between the hectic schedules of three kiddos can be difficult!

Today's card is made using the new DCWV Chit Chat Stack (available at Michael's)
and DCWV  Card Boxes.

I choose a to make the focal point of the card one of the printed sentiment for the stack. I took a circle punch and punched out circles of a variety of patterns. The circle punches are attached at the bottom of the sentiment. The final step is to attach the sentiment to the card base with foam dots.

Such a simple and quick card!

My Lucky Charm

Happy Saturday, everyone! I am excited to be on the Pink & Main Stamp's blog today!

With St. Patrick's Day next week, it is only fitting to showcase Pink & Main's Lucky Charm stamp set, as well as the popular 'inlay' technique.

The focal point of the card is of course the adorable leprechaun. I am continuing my goal of improving my coloring skills, so I broke out my marker to color in the leprechaun. Now it is time to create the rainbow.  I grab a variety of colors of glitter cardstock and used a rainbow die to form the rainbow. To create the 'inlaid' rainbow, I also used the rainbow die on the blue background paper. Now it is time piece the rainbow together in the rainbow spot on the background paper. To finish of the rainbow, I added two cloud die cuts. A simple sentiment is stamped at the bottom of the card. The
leprechaun is attached with foam dots to pop of the card.

Love Ya A Latte

Hello, Pink & Main friends! It is Jessi from Kissin' Krafts! I have said it before and will say it again...I love to paper-piece with Pink & Main stamps!

The stamp I used today is Pink & Main's Latte Love stamp set:

To create this card, I stamped the coffee cup image on a variety of patterned papers. The next step is to paper-piece the cups and create the tower. To create the tower, I cut a slit into the tops of the cups and slid in the next cup. The sentiment is stamped on a simple patterned paper. To finish the card, I added a wooden veneer heart to add texture/dimension to the card.

DCWV Project Stack - Cone Wreaths plus Tip

Hello, everyone! This week the DCWV Social Media Design Team is showcasing the new DCWV Project stacks available at Joann stores! Today I am using the DIY Cone Wreaths Project Stack for my post.

Interested in seeing the other DCWV Project Stacks release, check out videos the talented Tessa did for the release!

The Cone Wreaths Project Stack includes the paper and instructions for four wreaths. Today, I focused on the Spring/Easter wreath.

This was my first cone wreath that I have created. The instructions made it super simple to complete the wreath.  I also included Glue Dots to connect each cone to the next cone.

One lesson I learned...step back and double check the patterns as you lay them in place. Once I finished the project, I noticed I had a repeated prints next to each other in two different locations.

Bonus tip of the day:

Once I finished creating the Spring wreath, I did have leftover paper from the Spring section of the DIY Project Stack. I wanted a way to keep the extra straps together. I use larger envelopes and attach to the front or the back cover of the stack. The scraps are tucked into the envelope. This allows you to be able to tell with stack the scraps came from.

Thank you for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Here is my card using the Neat & Tangled's Everyday Circles stamp set:

This card is super simple to create! Use two different patterned papers to create the lays. Stamp the 'HAPPY' circle onto to light green cardstock and cut out (I used a circle punch). To finish the sentiment, a pendant die is used on a patterned paper and stamped with 'birthday'. The card is pieced together and finished!
